Visibility for a lunar eclipse late Thursday will be great for Arkadelphia skygazers, as the evening’s forecast calls for partly cloudy skies.
The eclipse will cover roughly 96% of the moon’s disk in Earth’s shadow. Peak viewing time is 11:12 p.m.
During the five-hour event, the moon will dim and take on a faint reddish-orange glow.
Partial eclipse will begin at about 10:33 p.m., and viewing of the eclipse will conclude around 1:51 a.m. Friday.
The next total lunar eclipse visible in North America will occur in late 2028.
