Clark County’s unemployment rate for June 2026, not seasonally adjusted, was at 5.3%, according to a preliminary county-by-county report released by the Arkansas Division of Workforce Services.
According to the report, Clark County had a labor force of 9,900 persons with 9,375 employed and 525 unemployed. The unemployment rate climbed since May’s report of 4.1%. The labor force fell by 79 persons from 9,979.
The unemployment rate for the neighboring counties surveyed from May to June are listed with their county seat in parentheses: i.e., Clark County (Arkadelphia):
Dallas County (Fordyce) reported 4.5% of its 2,846 available workers were without jobs, compared to 4.3% in May.
Hot Spring County (Malvern) reported 4.7% of its 13,562 available workers were without jobs, compared to 4.1% in May.
Montgomery County (Mt. Ida) reported 4.8% of its 3,377 available workers were without jobs, compared to 4.3% in May.
Pike County (Murfreesboro) reported 4.6% of its 4,358 available workers were without jobs, compared to 4.1% in May.
Nevada County (Prescott) reported 6.5% of its 2,723 available workers were without jobs, compared to 4.1% in May.
Ouachita County (Camden) reported 4.7% of its 9,409 available workers were without jobs, compared to 4.4% in May.
Statewide, Arkansas’ seasonally adjusted jobless rate was at 4.1% in June, a slight decrease from the 4.2% reported in May. There were more than 1.45 million workers available in Arkansas. Across the U.S., in July, 4.1% of the nation’s 169 million available workers were without jobs.
