Cameron Sims

Brother Cameron Sims was born on September 16, 1982, to Floyd Sims and Shirley Hawthorne Sims.

Cameron accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of St. John Baptist Church in Bluff City, Arkansas. He proudly served his country as a member of the Army National Guard Reserve.

A graduate of the Prescott High School Class of 2000, Cameron continued his education at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas. Gifted with a love for music, he played several instruments, including the trumpet, tuba, clarinet, and drums.

Cameron was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Sims; his paternal grandparents, Donnie and Clara Sims; and his maternal grandparents, James and Fannie Hawthorne.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving parents, Floyd and Shirley Sims; one brother, Christopher (Thomesha Burton) Sims; one nephew, Christian Sims; a host of devoted aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends; his special friend, Anton Purifoy; his former wife, Dominique (Sims) Carrington; and one bonus son, Branden Sims.

His life, love, service, and musical gifts will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
