Benny Allen Ezell, age 82, of Hot Springs, passed from this life on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at his home. He was born November 3, 1943, in Sparkman, the son of the late Roy and Mary LaRue Ezell.
Benny was a 1962 graduate of Arkadelphia High School. He was retired from International Paper as a supervisor. Benny was a thirty year veteran of the United States Army Reserves. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and coin collecting. Benny was a member of Trinity Deer Camp.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Royce Dean McClain and Reba Purifoy.
Survivors are his wife of thirty-four years, Kathy Golden Ezell of Hot Springs, one daughter, Kasey Card (Peyton) of Little Rock, three sons, Robbie Ezell (Lisa) of Arkadelphia, James Ezell (Donna) of Conway and Jared Moore (Abby) of Caddo Gap, one brother, Johnny Ezell (Joyce) of Camden, a very special aunt and uncle, Judy and Bobby Bishop of Wright City, OK, twelve grandchildren, Sarah Beth Eads, Rebecca Carter, Hunter Ezell, Scott Ezell, Brennan Williams, Bradley Williams, Alyssa Moore, Jesse Moore, Wesley Moore, Will Moore, Caroline Card and Millie Card, and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 10, 2026, at Welch Funeral Home with Bro. James Smith officiating.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Caddo Valley Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Zach Hanna, Ricky McCarty, Scott Ezell, Mike Loy, Chad Thornton and Brian Robinson.
