Henry Alan Deaton, age 67, of Sparkman, passed from this life on Monday, July 6, 2026, at UAMS in Little Rock. He was born August 26, 1958, in Arkadelphia, the son of Gerald and Lula Belle Jackson Deaton.
Alan was a 1976 graduate of Sparkman High School. He was a truck driver for Hunter Wasson Inc. and Kirksey Logging. Alan was a member of Manning Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, working in his yard and just being outdoors.
Alan was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Deaton and one daughter, Lara Cotten.
Survivors are his mother, Lula Belle Deaton of Pt Cedar, his wife, Rhonda Launius Deaton of Sparkman, three sons, Daniel Deaton (Courtney) of Bismarck, Michael Deaton of Arkadelphia and Casey Cotten (Cayla) of Benton, one daughter, Glenda Fuller of Arkadelphia, three grandchildren, Alisha and Jaden Bivens and Charlee Cotten, one great-grandchild, Brynleigh Hopkins, two brothers, Keith Deaton Sparkman and Kent Malcom (Anita) of Okolona, two sisters, Cheryl Allen and Diana Weiss both of Pt Cedar.
A celebration of life will be held from 3-6 pm Friday, July 10, 2026, at Wide Rack Deer Camp, 7048 W Hwy 8, Sparkman, AR 71763.
