Rose Marie Hill, age 84, passed away Friday, June 19, 2026. She was born November 30, 1941 in Denver, Colorado, to the late Robert and Gertrude (Myers) Saffell.
At a very young age, she met her soulmate, Raymond Hill, who was currently working as a logger in Kremmling, Colorado. They married very shortly thereafter and eventually moved to Alpine, Arkansas. Rose was a seamstress and a homemaker. She was a member of Chalybeate Valley Baptist Church.
Rose loved arts and crafts, quilting, and she enjoyed anything as long as she was beside Raymond. One of their favorite hobbies was playing music and jamboree halls.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of sixty-two years, Raymond Hill; brothers, Larry Saffell and Norman Saffell; sister, Linda Pinkerton; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jimmy and Connie Hill; sister-in-law, Lou Smith (husband, Donald); and brothers-in-law, Curtis Hill, James Hill, and Johnny Hill.
Survivors are sister, Bonnie Kay Thomason; sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Wade (husband, Doyle), Kathy Hill, Betty Hill and Betty Hill; brother-in-law, Paul Hill (wife, Sue); and a host of nieces and nephews.
Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 26, 2026 at Alpine Cemetery Chapel. Burial will follow at Alpine Cemetery. No formal visitation will be held.
