Joseph “Jody” Douglas Harper, age 57, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at his home. He was born March 12, 1969, in Boise, ID, the son of the late Basil and Treva Short Harper.
Jody worked in janitorial services and construction during his career. He loved camping and fishing in his free time.
Jody was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Jamie Harper, one sister, Rene Harper Jones and one niece, Cheryl Hayes.
Survivors are his wife, Deborah Harper of Arkadelphia, one son, Basil Joseph Harper (Victoria) of Murfreesboro, one grandson, Basil Rafael Harper, two brothers, Greg Harper of Murfreesboro and Randy Harper (Tara) of Benton, three sisters, Pam Fields of Hope, Becky Brown of Hope and Paula Harper of Ashdown.
Private family services are planned.
