Barbara June (Caudill) Baker, age 87, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. She was born March 30, 1939, in Blackey, KY, the daughter of the late Raymond and Opal Bach Caudill.
Barbara was a former cafeteria worker at Arkadelphia Public Schools. She attended Sycamore Church at Beirne. Barbara enjoyed gardening, crocheting, sewing, working in her yard, visiting with friends and family and talking on the telephone.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Baker, one son, Timothy Lee Baker and one daughter, Barbara (Robin) Tweedle.
Survivors are three sons, Jimmy Baker of Stephens, Tommy Baker (Melody) of Jensen, UT and Lee Baker of Gurdon, five daughters, Penny Baker, Linda Grubb (Rob) of Durham, NC, Lori Rutheford (Jerry) of Gurdon, Cheryl Watson of Emmett and Julie Watson (Bryan) of Gurdon, three brothers, Roy Caudill (Phyllis of KY, Phil Caudill of KY and Roger Caudill (Kim) of KY, two sisters, Lynda Leach (joe) of KY and Dana Padgett of KY, sixteen grandchildren, twenty six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Welch Funeral Home with Dylan Watson and Alyssa Pye officiating.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home Thursday.
Interment will be in Shiloh Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Lee Baker, Jimmy Baker, Jerry Rutheford, Bryan Watson, Sawyer Leamons, Riley Leamons and Bobby Pye.
Honorary pallbearer will be Tommy Baker.
