Charles (Chuck) Edward Goldsby was the tall child born to J.C. Goldsby and Helen Mae (Brown) Goldsby on February 5, 1938, in Gurdon, Arkansas. He was the eldest of 5 children.
Charles attended Bell High School in Gurdon, and graduated. He excelled as a student and in basketball. He and his brother Robert earned a good reputation as baseball players with the local baseball team.
Charles moved back and forth to Texas, but eventually joined the Army November 12, 1963 and was station in Oakaland, California. His overseas duty was served after the first Korean Conflict. He earned an HONORABLE DISCHARGE after completing his service time.
Charles was called home at the age of 88, on 05/09/2026, after a 2 month battle with pneumonia. His time of death was 11:50 PM in Seattle, Washington, his home for forty-four years.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents: J. C. Goldsby (11/12/2000) and Helen Mae (Brown) Goldsby (02/03/2000), daughter Patricia Nanette Goldsby (04/01/2004), sister Flossie Mae Goldsby (07/02/1955) brothers Robert Lee Goldsby (07/07/2021), and Eddie Ray Goldsby (01/11/2019).
He is survived by his sister Carolyn Jean (Goldsby) Hill (Rodney), granddaughter Christa Jacinda Bryant, two grandsons Roberto Constantino McBean and Stanley Cornell Person, Jr., two nephews in Arizona and niece and nephews in Texas, one niece in Gurdon, Arkansas and a host of cousins.
