Retired teachers hear from child safety center

Submitted information

Clark County Retired Teachers heard from Tiffany Barnes, development coordinator of the Percy and Donna Malone Child Safety Center, in their April meeting. Barnes explained many things about the role that the Malone center plays in helping abused children from ages 3 to 17.

The center supports the child and their families through the complex process of going through the courts and even afterward. The facilities serve children in five counties: Clark, Dallas, Hot Spring, Nevada and Pike.

The Retired Teachers then reviewed the scholarship applications for the two scholarships to be presented in May. The CCRTA April donation of $259 went to the PDMCSC.
