A one-vehicle crash early Thursday morning claimed the life of a Hot Spring County man.
According to a preliminary fatal crash summary posted by Arkansas State Police, 26-year-old Jarod Rhodes was driving a 2004 Dodge Ram east on Traskwood Road when he drove off the roadway and struck a tree.
Rhodes, of Traskwood, died in the crash. An obituary notes that Rhodes, a father of two, was studying to become a journeyman electrician.
Road conditions were wet and the weather conditions were noted as rainy, according to investigating State Trooper Jayson Weston.
The collision happened at 2:10 a.m. Thursday, April 16.
