Pamela Banks

Pamela Sue Campbell entered this earthly realm on July 5, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois, born to Bertha Campbell and Raymond McClinton. By God’s divine orchestration, Pamela was placed in the loving care of Frances Childs, who raised her as her own and poured into her the love, discipline, and faith that would shape her life and legacy.

From an early age, Pamela walked in purpose and excellence. She graduated from Bradley County High School and was blessed to attend Henderson State University on an academic scholarship. There, she earned her bachelor’s degree and later completed her master’s degree, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to learning and excellence. During her college years, she formed treasured friendships—including her dear sister-friend, Barbara Briscoe—and it was during this season that she met Carl Ellis Daniels. United in holy matrimony, their union was blessed with three beloved daughters: Leslie, Karla, and Cecily.

Pamela was endowed with extraordinary wisdom, intelligence, and vision. God favored her professional journey, and she excelled in every assignment placed before her. While employed at Reynolds Metal Company, she courageously stepped into emerging technology, mastering computer systems and training others—quietly becoming what her family lovingly calls a “hidden figure.” In an era when Black women were pressing forward for equity and recognition, Pamela broke barriers with grace and confidence.

Her career journey led her into Human Resources with Southern Bank Corporation and later to Winrock International, where her work carried her beyond borders to Tanzania, Africa. Her leadership and integrity earned her numerous honors, including serving on a board alongside First Lady Hillary Clinton and receiving the Outstanding Alumni Award from Henderson State University. Through it all, Pamela remained humble, giving God the glory for every achievement.

Above all else, Pamela was a woman of unwavering faith. A mighty intercessor and prayer warrior, she stood in the gap for her family, her church, and all whom God placed on her heart. She faithfully served at St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, and St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Morrilton, Arkansas, answering every call to serve with a willing spirit. A devoted student of God’s Word, she loved the Scriptures and joyfully led and participated in Bible studies with family and local churches. Her prayers were powerful, her counsel wise, and her faith unshakable.

Pamela Sue Campbell was called from labor to eternal rest on April 1, 2026. She was preceded in death by her biological parents, Bertha Campbell and Raymond McClinton; her cherished adopted mother, Frances Childs; brothers, Bruce, Randy, Ronnie, Raymond, and Michael and her sisters, Jael (Bobby) and Cynthia (Verlee).

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her daughters, Leslie Daniels, Karla Hooper, and Cecily Crawford; her grandchildren: Codie, Ashley, Imari, Kyla, Pamela Brooke (Jerome), Kayley (Jamal),  Kamryn, and Garcia; her great-granddaughter, Savannah Jude; her siblings, Linda, Jennifer, Sharon, Tonetta and Tracy, and her devoted sister-friend, Barbara Briscoe. Pamela’s life stands as a testimony of faith, perseverance, service, and love. Though she has transitioned from this earthly home, her legacy lives on, and we rejoice knowing she now rests in the presence of her Lord and Savior.
