Cold days ahead for Arkadelphia

A shift to colder temperatures is expected to begin this weekend and last into early next week across Arkansas, the National Weather Service in Little Rock said Thursday, Dec. 11.

Following a mild Saturday with a daytime high of 51 and a slight chance of showers, the mercury will fall to around 26 degrees Saturday night, according to Arkadelphia’s extended forecast.

Sunday will be a windy one, with a 5-10 mph northeast wind with gusts up to 15 mph. The high Sunday will be a cold 35 under sunny skies. Sunday’s nighttime low will plunge to a freezing 16 degrees.

Monday’s high will be near 40, with a nighttime low of 26. 

Temperatures are expected to warm by midweek, as highs will reach the low to mid 60s Wednesday and Thursday, with lows in the 40s and 50s as the week progresses.
