Dean Clark

Bobby “Dean” Clark, age 74, of Antione, AR left this earth for his Heavenly home on October 9, 2025, at his home. Dean was born on July 9, 1951, along side his twin sister Peggy to the late Alvin and Allie Cash Clark.

He spent his childhood years in Okolona and Arkadelphia learning all the trades of farming from family and friends. Dean was number one on the draft into the Army in 1970 as the Vietnam war continued and spent his time as a prison guard in Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas when the discovered he was colorblind and could not be placed in the field.

He married the love of his life, Connie, in 1971. Dean remained in the Army where they lived in Kansas until 1972. He then came home to Arkansas and enjoyed horses, farming, hunting, fishing and just about everything in between. He worked at Firestone, as the superintendent of the Antoine Water system, owned and operated a logging business as well as a service station in Antione.

Dean was the person just about everyone called upon when they needed a hand with just about anything. And he never turned any of them down. Always in service of others. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Clark and Allie Clark Young, His twin sister Peggy, his brothers, William Clark, Tony Clark, and Michael Clark, and infant brother, and his youngest daughter Jennifer Clark Leeper.

Left to carry on his legacy of service to others and his memory are his wife of 54 years, Connie Clark; his daughter, Carrie (Jamall) Tidwell; grandchildren Haley (Cody) Kimberlin, Caynen Elmer, Kyla Clark, Santana Leeper, Djay Leeper, Kenndey Tidwell, Larsyn Tidwell, and his great grandchildren, Rosalene Robinson, Rowan, Saylor and Calder Kimberlin, his sister, Sherry (Bill) Jacques and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside services at 10:00 AM on Monday October 13, 2025, at Antione Cemetery. 

Vistation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Sunday October 12, 2025, at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
