Arkansas State Police: Fordyce deaths ruled murder-suicide

FORDYCE, Arkansas — A couple found dead last month inside their Fordyce home was ruled a murder-suicide, Arkansas State Police announced Wednesday, Oct. 1.

Following autopsies by the state Crime Laboratory, medical examiners determined that the death of Holly Parham, 70, was the result of homicide, while the death of David Parham, 81, was ruled a suicide.

On Sept. 15, 2025, the ASP Criminal Investigation Division initiated a death investigation at the request of the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) when the Parhams were found unresponsive inside their home at the 1700 block of West 4th Street.

The Dallas County Coroner pronounced the couple dead at the scene. 

Holly was a registered nurse at the Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden, and David was president of Parham Pulpwood, according to reports from magnoliareporter.com.
