Harold Trammel

Sherman “Harold” Trammel, age 73, of Okolona, formerly of Bismarck passed to the other side on September 24, 2025.

He worked for International Paper as a dozer operator and spent the next 32 years as a track manager at Oaklawn in Hot Springs.

Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Diana Davis; daughter, Cherly Bratton; brother Travis Trammel; and sister, Edna Francis.

He is survived by one son, Richie Arthur of Hot Springs, sister, Phyllis Cook of Okolona; brothers, Gene Trammel (Betty) of Malvern and Eddie Trammel of Bismarck. Harold is also survived by five grandkids, Kelli Beth Bratton (Kasie) of Little Rock, Jessi Bratton of Benton, Blake Bratton of Fountain Lake, Jenna Arthur, and Drew Arthur; great-granddaughter, Jane Bratton; great-grandson, Theo Bratton; and numerous nieces and nephews that Harold loved with all of him. Harold will be missed.

Visitation will be 9:00-10:00 a.m., Monday, September 29, 2025 at Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 29, 2025 with Chaplain Rich Heffington officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Bismarck. Pallbearers are Blake Bratton, Richie Arthur, Mattahew Norman, Tyler Spradlin, Stacey Trammel, and Tommy Pierce. Honorary pallbearer are the Oaklawn Maintenance Crew and Paul Williams.
