Flu clinics set to start next week; school flu vaccines in October

Flu clinics are planned for the general public and school students in the region, beginning late September.

Walk-in flu shots will be available at County Health Units across Arkansas. There is no out-of-pocket expense for flu shots, but residents are encouraged to bring insurance information if they have it.

“Flu Week” at health unit locations will be Sept. 23-29.

The Clark County Health Unit in Arkadelphia will accept walk-ins Monday through Thursday during regular business hours. Call ahead to ensure a nurse is on duty.

Garland County Health Unit, Hot Springs, Tuesday, Sept. 23, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Hot Spring County Health Unit, Malvern, Monday, Sept. 22, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Nevada County Health Unit, Prescott, Wednesday, Sept. 24, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
