An annual event in the rural Clark County community of Manchester promises a day of family fun and entertainment, all while raising funds for a worthy cause.
The 2025 Manchester Pumpkin Day is set for Saturday, Oct. 4, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the community center, 1216 Manchester Road.
New this year is a $3 admission fee.
Find your fall decor, whether it be from the rows of pumpkins for sale or another variety of gourd. For an entry fee of $20, let the kids run off some energy at the Kids Fun Run, which kicks off at 10 a.m. The kids can also take a free hayride, play a number of free games, or visit the petting zoo. Parents can browse a selection of goodies from vendors. Rendezvous with family and friends to have lunch from one of the food trucks, and take in some live music while you eat.
Event organizers have space for community booths, as well as vendors and food trucks. Contact Carol Morgan at 870-230-3877 or Allen Morgan at 870-245-6212 for more information.
Funds raised at the Manchester Pumpkin Day event are used to preserve, maintain and improve the historic schoolhouse and grounds. The Manchester Rural Community Improvement has plans to build a pavilion that will provide an outside area for community birthday parties and family gatherings.
