The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Tuesday, Sept. 2
9:30 a.m.
Officers were called to Southview Apartments, 650 S. 5th St., where a woman reported her neighbor came over to her porch Saturday and pinched off a piece of her hanging house plant, then started rummaging through a storage container. The tenant said she confronted the neighbor, who apologized and returned the pinched-off portion of the plant she had taken. Management at the complex advised her to file a police report.

Wednesday, Sept. 3
1:15 p.m.
Officers were requested at Ouachita Village Apartments, 11 Cypress Road, for a report that one tenant continues to harass another after police instructed her to stop or face legal consequences. The pestering party pulled off prior to police pulling up.
5:24 p.m.
A woman reported being harassed and threatened by an ex-lover. She was advised to retain all communications received, and of procedures to obtain a protection order.

Juvenile report: Endangering the welfare of a minor, 3rd degree
3:45 p.m.
A Sylvia Street woman reported returning home Aug. 28 from an out-of-state trip to find her residence had been ransacked and that a pair of speakers had been taken from her vehicle. Learning from a friend who took the speakers, the woman contacted that person (also a friend) and was reunited with the speakers. However, the following day as she was cleaning the ransacked residence she discovered a pearl necklace and a new chainsaw were missing.

Sunday, Sept. 7
4 p.m.
A deputy was called to a residence at the 6700 block of Highway 8 West for a complaint that a known trespasser had returned to the property, with the caller providing video of the suspect, 37-year-old Adrian Whitaker, of Arkadelphia, sitting in a vehicle at his driveway. The deputy recalled noticing Whitaker’s vehicle, with hazard lights flashing, parked at Golden Cemetery. Upon the deputy’s visit to the cemetery and vehicle, which had run out of gas, Whitaker returned and admitted that he had been to the complainant’s property. Whitaker was arrested at the scene for criminal trespass.
