Bobby Welchman

Bobby Ray Welchman, age 91, of Benton, formerly of Bismarck, passed from this life on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Heartland Health and Rehabilitation Center in Benton.  He was born April 6, 1934, in Stuttgart, the son of the late Ernest Creed and Bonnie Rea Fowler Welchman.  

Bobby was retired from the United States Air Force after forty-two years of service.  He was a member of Third Street Baptist Church.  Bobby enjoyed traveling, gardening, working in the yard and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, David Allen Welchman, one sister, Dorothy Welchman Hope, two brothers, Charles “Chuck” Welchman and William Welchman. 

Bobby is survived by his wife of Forty-six years, Edna Frazier Welchman of Benton, two daughters, Melanie Lynn Partridge of Gulf Port, MS and Amy Michelle Torres of Biloxi, MS, three grandchildren, Josh, Ian and Daniel Gordon, two great-grandchildren, Josh Torres and Olivia Gordon. 

Graveside services with full military honors will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Bro. Greg Lathem officiating. 

No visitation is planned.
