Starting with the upcoming 2025-26 academic school year, Arkadelphia Public Schools will enforce Act 122 limiting student use of personal electronic devices during the school day.
All public schools in Arkansas are expected to enforce the new law, also known as the “Bell to Bell, No Cell” law that prohibits students from possessing cell phones or other personal electronic devices during the instructional day — beginning at the moment they are required to be on campus until they are dismissed.
The policy includes lunch, recess and all transitions during the day. Act 122 is reportedly designed to support a more focused and distraction-free learning environment while reinforcing student engagement and safety on campus.
Devices that are not allowed during the school day:
• Cell phones
• Smartwatches
• Wireless earbuds/headphones
• Other electronic communication devices
Violations may lead to device confiscation, parent contact, and disciplinary action as outlined in the 2025–2026 Arkadelphia Public Schools Student Handbook.
