A $1 million bond has been set for an Arkadelphia man arrested in connection with the April 2024 death of a Friendship woman, the Hot Spring County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Christopher Earnest Gray, 44, was arrested at his Arkadelphia home on the morning of June 3, 2025. Making the arrest were investigators and deputies with both the HSCSO and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Both agencies, along with Group 6 Narcotics and the U.S. Secret Service, were involved in an extensive, 13-month investigation into the death.
Gray is being held at the Hot Spring County Jail on charges of aggravated death by deliver of fentanyl, an unclassified felony.
In September 2024 Gray was the target of a Group 6 drug bust that netted 75 individually packaged fentanyl pills, as well as nine firearms and 1.7 grams of methamphetatmine. Clark County Sheriff Jason Watson said that Gray’s 2024 case are separate from the new charges.
