The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
Arkadelphia Police Department
Sunday, Dec. 5
3:32 p.m.
Officers cited a Gurdon man at Walmart for shoplifting $30 worth of merchandise.
9 p.m.
A Rison man reported leaving his wallet at the service desk at Walmart and that someone had taken it. Security footage captured three individuals, whom officers located walking near the Verizon store, and one took officers to the car where she had stashed it. The complainant said he didn’t wish to pursue charges unless there were charges made to any of his bank cards.
Friday, Dec. 3
11:19 a.m.
Officers responded to Walnut Square Apartments for a physical altercation between an unmarried couple. Gurdon police located and apprehended the male suspect within an hour.
Officers opened a felony case of vehicular burglary.
Thursday, Dec. 2
Police worked a case of third-degree assault involving a juvenile.
Police worked a case of a runaway juvenile.
Arrests
Friday, Dec. 3
William Royal Jones, 57, was arrested for a warrant.
Valentino D. Young, 31, was arrested by Gurdon police for a warrant.
Leonel Presas Jr., 35, was placed on a parole hold.
Richard Vasquez, 37, was arrested by Arkadelphia police for a warrant and driving with a suspended license.
Saturday, Dec. 4
Kevin Newborn, 41, was arrested for public intoxication.
