At about 9:08 a.m. the Arkadelphia Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at 1613 Caddo St.
Fire Chief Andy Neel said it remains uncertain where the fire originated, saying the male resident awoke in a bedroom to smell smoke. The man investigate the source, locating fire in the living room area. Unable to leave through the front door due to flames, he escaped instead through a back window.
There were no injuries in the blaze. Fire officials said most of the property inside the residence was destroyed in the fire, and that the mobile home is likely a total loss.
