Dorsie “Smitty” Smith

Dorsie Earl “Smitty” Smith, age 73, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Friday, May 30, 2025, at CHI St Vincent Medical Center in Hot Springs.  He was born October 28, 1951, in Meridian, MS, the son of the late Howard and Nannie Lucille Rigby Smith.  

Smitty was a 1970 graduate of Cabot High School.  He did custom construction painting his entire professional life.   Smitty was a member of Twin Rivers Church of the Nazarene in Caddo Valley.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, black smithing and raising his beagle dogs.  

Smitty was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Donna Jean (Dumann) Smith of Arkadelphia, one step-son, Jason Allen Dumonn (Jamie) of Bauxite, two grandchildren, Nathan Talbot and Wyatt Dumonn.

The family will host a memorial service at 6:30 PM on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Twin Rivers Church of the Nazarene with Bro. Mel Vail officiating.
