Ian Cosh has been invited to deliver the commencement address at Northrise University in Ndola, Zambia, on Friday, May 30, 2025.
Northrise University is the first private Christian University to be established in Zambia. The Zambian Higher Education Authority has accredited its programs. It has over 1,000 students enrolled. Northrise University offers full accreditation of its 12 degree programs in business, IT, law, nursing, theology, and civil engineering. Of its 800 alumni, 99% have remained in Zambia, taking up leadership positions in business, healthcare, government, and ministry.

As a Christ-centered university, Northrise University is committed to equipping its students to become skilled and relevant professionals, ministers, and leaders who will impact their communities. By providing learning opportunities that enhance critical thinking, discipline, personal responsibility, character development, and sacrifice, students are inspired to achieve excellence and lay hold of their future.
Cosh serves as the chair of the Northrise University Initiative Board of Trustees and as a strategic partnerships consultant for Northrise University. He will travel to Zambia on May 24 through June 5, 2025 to lead a vision trip to the university. Guests will visit with university leaders and see the Victoria Falls in Livingstone and a game viewing excursion to Botswana’s Okavango Delta region.
Cosh and his wife Sharon have lived in Arkadelphia for over four decades. Their five daughters graduated from Arkadelphia Public Schools and Ouachita Baptist University. They have 13 grandchildren living in Benton and North Little Rock, Arkansas.
