Arkadelphia hosting Aviation Expo with HSU May 31

The City of Arkadelphia has announced plans for an Aviation Expo with The Arkansas Aviation Academy at Henderson State University and Ozarka College on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the Arkadelphia Airport.

The free event includes:

• Flight demonstrations by pilots from Henderson State University and Ozarka College

• Aircraft on display, including authentic planes from World War II

• Flight simulator experience, provided by Henderson State’s aviation program

• Activities for kids, including bounce houses and a craft area

• Raffle prizes, including the chance to win an introductory flight with a Henderson State pilot

• Food trucks

• Music by AV Arkadelphia

“This event is a dream come true,” Arkadelphia’s Airport Manager Michael Sellers said. “For years, we’ve talked about creating an event that showcases Arkadelphia’s aviation history and allows people to experience this really cool industry. We’re thrilled to be working with Henderson State on this project, and are grateful for Ozarka’s support.”

Arkadelphia’s Aviation Expo will be held on Saturday, May 31, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Parking will be at the Clark County Fairgrounds, with free shuttle service to and from the event.
