With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Amy Elizabeth Scott, who left this world far too soon on March 21, 2025, at the age of 51. She was welcomed to the world on March 15, 1974 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas to loving parents William and Barbara Scott.
Amy was a radiant soul—beautiful, full of laughter, and with a smile that could light up any room. She had a quick wit, an adventurous spirit, and a warmth that made everyone around her feel loved.
Amy dedicated her life to helping others. After earning her master’s degree, she pursued a career in social work, where she made a lasting impact on countless lives—especially children. She later expanded her work into various areas of the medical field, always bringing her compassion and dedication to those in need.
Above all, Amy was a devoted and loving mother to her daughter, Kennedy. She would tell anyone who would listen about her. She took immense pride in Kennedy’s accomplishments and cherished every moment they spent together.
She was a traveler at heart, always seeking new adventures and collecting stories along the way. Whether exploring the world or reminiscing about family memories, Amy found joy in sharing her experiences and bringing people together.
She is preceded in death by her father, William “Scotty” Scott; her beloved cousins, Debbie and brother Gary; and her dear aunt, Patsy. Those who will carry her love forward include her mother, Barbara Scott; her daughter, Kennedy Rankin; her brothers, William “Mike” Scott and David Scott, along with David’s wife, Barbara Scott; and a large and loving family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws who adored her.
Amy’s legacy is one of love, kindness, and adventure. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
