Three new school buses will be added to Arkadelphia Public Schools’ fleet after a decision Monday by the school board.

The board gave unanimous approval to Superintendent Nikki Thomas’s recommendation that the district buy three 77-passenger buses from Rush Truck Center of Arkansas from the state contract.

The $440,055 purchase will be financed through U.S. Bank. Thomas was also given authorization to sign documents related to the loan.

In other business, the school board approved proposed personnel policies for licensed and classified staff. The policies will be turned over to the Personnel Policy Committee for review and returned to the school board for final adoption.
