The Arkadelphian includes names of grantees, grantors, transaction price and property description available, and does not withhold names. A variety of factors, including improvements made to a home or property, are considered in real estate prices that may increase from when the seller bought the property.
The top sale in this round of real estate transactions was an exchange between Gregory Henthorn and Larry and Pamela Thomason. The deed’s property description offers few details about the 0.796 acres located in Section 27 Township 5 Range 23, which is comprised generally in the Amityarea. Online records shed little light on the property or the $400,000 transaction.
In Arkadelphia, Ernest and Felicia Higgs bought Billy Bunn’s 1,787-SF brick home at the 2500 block of Elaine Street. The Higgses bought the property for $269,000. Bunn purchased the lot in 2007 for $20,000. In turn, the Higgses sold their 1,232-SF brick home at the 2700 block of Center Street to Collin Medley. Medley is paying $110,000 for the property, which the Higgses bought in 2004 for $76,000.
Roger and Holly Avery sold their 2,602-SF brick-and-frame home on Apple Blossom Drive, Arkadelphia, to Griffin Timberland Investments LLC for $260,000. The limited liability company paying for the property is registered to Andrew Griffin. The Averies bought the Magnolia Estates home for $255,000 in 2015.
For $205,000 KBCB LLC, registered to Ben Butler of Little Rock, bought 160 acres of land from Cypress Break Land & Timber Inc., registered to Ed Givens Jr. of Sparkman. The acreage, which Cypress Break bought in 2020 for $2.6 million, is located north of Boswell Road near Okolona.
Dannie and Susan Thomason bought a 1,188-SF brick home on South Hill Street, Amity, for $150,000. Previous owner Regan Myers bought the 3-acre spread for $85,000 in 2021.
