Mildred P. Hardage Glover, age 92, of Benton, LA, formerly of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Monday, November 25, 2024, in Shreveport. She was born December 17, 1931, in New DeRoche, the daughter of the late Rueben Mance and Susie Swaim Hughes.
Mildred was a 1948 graduate of New DeRoche High School. She worked at Obermans, Levis Strauss, Merchants and Planters Bank and B & M Storage during her career. Mildred was a member of Third Street Baptist Church and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, canning, going to her grandchildren’s activities, horses and helping family and friends.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Laymon Buck, James Hardage and James A. Glover, two sisters, Vera Hughes and Lucille Baker, six brothers, Virgil, Gordon, Ulysses, Linzy, Herschel and Dayton Hughes.
Survivors are her daughter, Cindy Buck Emerson (Joe) of Benton, LA, close friend and care giver, Brenda Gills of Arkadelphia, two grandchildren, Seth Emerson (Sable) of Malvern and Cassie Emerson of Weatherford, TX.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 on Monday, December 2, 2024, at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Bro. Greg Lathem officiating.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Joe Emerson, Seth Emerson, Casey Tew, Sam Bray, Donnie Vickers and Mike Gills.
