NWS: Last days of October could bring some relief to bone-dry Arkansas

The final two days of October look to have respectable rainfall chances of most locations in Arkansas seeing less than a half inch of rainfall, said the National Weather Service in Little Rock.

But it’s rainfall nonetheless.

A few isolated amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch will be possible in isolated areas. The NWS noted that its forecast will likely change given the projected rainfall is 6 to 7 days out.

The latest extended forecast for the Arkadelphia area adds a slight chance of showers Friday night and possible thunderstorms late Saturday night and into Sunday morning.

Monday could be a windy one, with gusts up to 15 mph.
