David Smith Jr., age 67, of Friendship, AR, passed away on September 28, 2024 at UAMS – Little Rock. He was born on January 3, 1957 in Dothan, AL, the son of Jabez David and Mozelle Watson Smith. He worked for Baptist Health Medical Center-Arkadelphia as a Environmental Specialist for many years. David was an avid sports fan especially an Auburn fan. He also loved coaching little league and coaching HSC Jr. Babe Ruth.
David is preceded in death by his father.
Left to cherish his memory, mother, Mozelle Smith of Friendship; brother, Ernest Smith (Danette) of Friendship; nephew, Josh Smith (Brittney); nieces, Sophia Smith, Carly Smith, and Madelyn Smith; and a host of cousins.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 2nd from 1:30- 2pm at Ouachita Cemetery, with the graveside service starting at 2pm, with Bro. Vidal Martinez officiating.
Pallbearers are Josh Smith, Randy Morrison, Daniel Cannon, Chris Morrison, Andrew Cannon, and Jacob Cannon.
Honorary pallbearers are his special friends, Donnie and Frances Cannon.
