Clark County Fair: Manning sisters take top prize in Giant Pumpkin & Watermelon contest

Arkadelphia sisters Mollee and McKinlee Manning earned recognition Monday, Sept. 9, as winners of the 2024 Clark County Fair’s Giant Pumpkin & Watermelon Contest.

Along with their grandfather, Johnnie Manning, Mollee entered a pumpkin weighing a whopping 216 pounds, and McKinlee entered a giant-sized watermelon tipping the scales at 135 pounds.

The entries will be on display at the Arts & Crafts Building at the fairgrounds through Saturday.

The Manning sisters will each receive a $50 cash prize presented at the Fair Board banquet in November.

Mollee is a senior at Gurdon High School, and McKinlee is a junior nursing student at Henderson State University. They are the daughters of Rusty and Stephanie Manning.
