We’d like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to our readers and advertisers for their patience this week as we’ve mostly stepped away from our duties for some bereavement time. Our family lost a dear loved one, Bill Scrimshire, in the early morning hours of Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024. We had been with our Malvern clan since last Sunday to be present during the final days (our astute readers will recall that we had an emergency trip to a veterinarian while “visiting family in Malvern” — that turned out to be three trips to Little Rock in 24 hours!). Trust that we’re more than ready to resume our normal routine and back home in Arkadelphia.
Members of the Arkadelphia Rotary Club Sunset will have a hot dog fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 14, near the entrance to Atwoods.
Something tells us he wanted to stand on the table and say to us, “Nanny-Nanny-Boo-Boo, you can’t see these reports.” We roll our eyes at such behavior.
The 2024 Clark County Fair kicks off next week. We will live-stream the fair parade for those who can’t be there in person. CLICK HERE for the full schedule.
Dove season opens Saturday, Sept. 7. Hunters, it would behoove you to wear an orange cap if you’re hunting in groups.
