The newly built Peake Elementary School now has an American flag for each of the campus’s classrooms, thanks to a recent service project by Arkadelphia Lions Club.
The club on Thursday, Aug. 22, delivered the 2’x3’ flags and brackets for installation in all of the 45 classrooms at Peake.
As part of a longstanding fundraiser, Lions Club distributes 170 flag displays throughout Arkadelphia and Caddo Valley on 12 flag holidays each year. Proceeds from that fundraiser were used to gift the flags at Peake so students there will have a flag for the Pledge of Allegiance.
