The Pregnancy Resource Center of Southwest Arkansas addressed members of the Arkadelphia Lions Club and gave updates on the nonprofit organization’s successes of late.
Director Gayla Parker said the center, located at 702 Carpenter St., Arkadelphia, now has an ultrasound that is in use to verify the heartbeat of a child in utero.
Fully funded by donations, Parker said the pro-life pregnancy resource center offers free medical-grade pregnancy tests, parenting classes for both mothers and fathers, and post-abortive counseling.
In addition to Parker the center is staffed by a second full-time employee, client coordinator Becky Wilson, and volunteers.
