Three local businesses were awarded permits from the Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Control Board during a July 24 meeting.
According to the ABC website, an application was given conditional approval for Ambar Mexican Restaurant to activate a permit for restaurant mixed drink minimum. Ambar is located at 112 W.P. Malone Dr., Arkadelphia. Maurio Williams is listed as the permit holder.
Sodexo Operations at Henderson State University received approval for three permits: off-premises caterer, large attendance facility at Garrison Center, and large attendance facility at Carpenter-Haygood Stadium. Neal Taggard is listed as the permit holder.
Smoker Friendly, an Arkadelphia tobacco shop at 2708 Pine St. Suite C, was given conditional approval to sell retail beer for off-premises consumption. The permit holder is Richard Burns.
In neighboring counties: Beard and Buns Burger Co. at 247 N. Adams Ave., Camden, was given conditional approval to reactivate a permit to sell restaurant mixed drink minimum.
A Smoker Friendly at 940 Cash Road, Camden, was given conditional approval for retail beer off premises and small farm winery.
A Dollar General 15045 Highway 9, Malvern, was approved for retail beer off premises, small farm winery retail and grocery store wine.
Tony Wyatt, of Malvern, was given conditional approval for small farm winery wholesale and small farm winery manufacturing.
