Deborah Ann Francis Butler, age 71, of Kensett, formerly of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Friday, August 2, 2024, at her home. She was born April 8, 1953, in Fort Sill, OK, the daughter of the late James and Rosemary McHughes Francis.
Debbie was a 1971 graduate of Arkadelphia High School and a 1975 graduate of Henderson State University. She was retired from Arkadelphia Water Dept after thirty-five years of service. Debbie was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed cake baking and decorating, and she made the best “Buttermilk Pie” in the land. Debbie also enjoyed crafting and spending time with her family, friends and her church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both sets of grandparents, Witt and Mamie Thompson Francis and Waylon and Lucille Goodwin McHughes.
Survivors are one son, Bradley Butler of Arkadelphia, one daughter, Kimberlee Butler (Lisa Glaze) of Bald Knob, two sisters, Jackie Garner (Donnie) of Amity and Karen Francis of Arkadelphia, two grandchildren, Kiersten Lott and Josh Glaze, four great-grandchildren, Peyton and Stetson Lott and Cassie and Wyatt Glaze, the father of her children, Jim Butler of Arkadelphia and her fur baby, Little Rascal.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Park Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Erby Burgess officiating.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Welch Funeral Home.
