Audrey Jean Gregory, age 91, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Nightingale Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia. She was born on April 7, 1933, in South Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of the late Edward and Margaret Balde. Audrey was the oldest of their three children. She loved to travel but found “home” in Arkansas.
Audrey was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She loved her church and her Sunday School class. Audrey enjoyed homemaking and shopping. She was a very generous person and loved getting gifts for her family and friends. Audrey had so many friends in Arkadelphia. The Friday night wild bunch and the Wednesday Lunch Bunch. She was a Red Hatter, a Colerean and a member of the Caddo River Art Guild. Audrey lived and loved fully and was always devoted in her faith in Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings and her oldest child, Edward Voss.
Audrey is survived by three children, Shawn Armstrong (Hank), Elise Griffith (Steven) and Joseph Voss (Mariana), a beloved nephew, Bill Wilson (Laurel), grandchildren, Ben Armstrong (Rachel), Shannon Coleman (Chris), Ryan Voss, Robert Griffith, Zachary Griffith, Joseph Voss, Mark Voss, Thomas Voss and Audrey Voss, great-grandchildren, Michael Armstrong, Rylie Armstrong and Jake Coleman.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, August 10, 2024, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Zeke Allen officiating.
Interment will be in Richland Cemetery.
