Larry Lee Covington, age 73, of Gurdon, Arkansas passed away on July 20, 2024. Mr. Covington was born on July 25, 1950, in Irving, Texas to his parents Billy and Mary Lee Covington.
He loved hiking, camping, and cooking. But most of all, he loved people, he had the biggest heart and was a friend to everyone. He was also an eagle scout and a huge Jimmy Buffett fan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his twin brother, Garry Covington.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 33 years, Peggy Blanton Covington; two sons, Cory Covington (Melissa), Andy Covington (Chrystal); one daughter, Kelly Covington Gannon (Shawn); six grandchildren, Kerstyn Covington, Byron Covington, Bryce Covington, Avery Gannon, Hudson Covington, and Reese Convington; sister-in-law, Patty Gaither (Gary); nephew, Garrett Covington (Mindy) and his daughter, Paige Covington; along with numerous loving friends.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.
A memorial service will follow immediately at 2:00 p.m. at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home, Gurdon, Arkansas.
