William Alvin “Tooter” Wilson, age 90, of Amity, passed from this life on Monday, June 5, 2023, at Twin Rivers Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia. He was born April 10, 1933, in Amity, the son of the late William Clifford and Bertha Garner Wilson.
Tooter was a retired crane operator and worked construction most of his life. He was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean War. Tooter loved the outdoors, fishing, watching deer, birds and squirrels, hunting and watching his beloved Razorbacks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Marvel “Blue” Wilson and his wife Clerde, Dewey Wilson and his wife Charlene, one sister, Roma Conine and her husband Milburn, and one grandson, Jared Goff.
Tooter is survived by his two daughters, Shari Wilson Cauchi (Paul) of Amity, and Denise Wilson Goff of Arkadelphia, one granddaughter, Sarah Goff of Arkadelphia, one great grandson, Jared Shearin, numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, June 9, 2023, at Jones Cemetery at Amity with Bro. Billy Thomason officiating.
No visitation is planned.
