The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Monday, June 17
4:15 p.m.
A resident walked into the police department to report his credit card had two unauthorized charges totaling $260.
Tuesday, June 18
12:37 p.m.
A North 14th Street resident reported the theft of a self-propelled lawn mower, a red Yard Machine with a 21-inch deck and a Briggs & Stratton engine.
3:56 p.m.
Officers responded to a North 14th Street residence for a hospice worker’s report that a patient assaulted the complainant’s elderly mother.
Thursday, June 20
Police investigated the fraudulent use of a credit card at an unlisted business at the 100 block of W.P. Malone Drive. No further details were available since the Arkadelphia Police Department does not include narratives in felony incident reports.
Friday, June 21
1:40 a.m.
Jathan Sermaine Bowens, 26, of Fayetteville, was arrested outside Tiger Mart, 203 N. 10th St., for criminal trespass. An officer had been summoned to the convenience store for a report of an unruly customer refusing to leave. A clerk told the responding officer that the customer, later identified as Bowens, became disrespectful when asked for identification to purchase tobacco products. Informed that he wouldn’t be served, Bowens refused to leave and “just stood there for about 20 minutes”. The reporting officer then spoke with Bowens, who by that point was outside the entrance, and explained that the clerk had the right to refuse service and that he needed to leave. After some arguing with the officer Bowens was taken into custody.

Wednesday, June 19
12:14 p.m.
An Alexander Road man met with a deputy at the sheriff’s office to report that he felt individuals are watching him through his television and that they have additionally hacked his phones and computer. The complainant said he can hear them talking in the background from his TV and that they change setting and delete items from his phone, computer and DVR. The man was advised that he should consult a cyber security professional to check his electronics. No further actions were taken at the time of the report.
Thursday, June 20
7 p.m.
Following a similar welfare check on Wednesday, June 19, deputies were again dispatched to a residence at the 800 block of Cedar Grove Road for a woman’s report that her adult son was tearing up the house and had barricaded himself in his room. The responding deputy discovered that he was not tearing up the house. Early the next afternoon, several deputies returned to the residence with an order of commitment for the 45-year-old male.
Saturday, June 22
12:30 p.m.
A Kansas Road, Gurdon, man reported two of his dogs had been stolen from a kennel outside his home. He said he left the house for about 2 hours and upon his return found both dogs were missing from the kennel, with the door still closed and latched.
5:20 p.m.
Ravin Ariana Cabrera, 21, and Tyler Matthew Raley, 20, both of El Dorado, were arrested on the Caddo River at Shepherd’s gravel bar for public intoxication. At 3:16 p.m. the sheriff’s office began receiving 911 calls reporting multiple, highly intoxicated persons floating the Caddo River west of Caddo Valley. The callers all reported multiple people severely intoxicated and one female suspect in particular being extremely belligerent to people who had stopped to help. Due to the concerns for the safety of the suspects, Caddo Valley fire and rescue were notified as well as law enforcement. After a lengthy search, Raley and Cabrera, were located by AGFC Officer Spencer Miller in the area of Shepherd’s gravel bar. Both were taken into custody and transported to the jail. Cabrera continued to be belligerent with officers and deputies after her arrest. The rest of the suspects in the call were located in Caddo Valley after they exited the river, and were arrested by Caddo Valley police.
