The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Monday, Dec. 18
3:30 p.m.
Officers were summoned to a residence at the 1500 block of Center Street for an argument-turned-physical between roommates. No signs of injury were found on either of the two females involved in the altercation, and they were advised of procedures on how to file for a no-contact order.
Officers worked a disorderly conduct incident involving a juvenile.
Tuesday, Dec. 19
An officer took an “information only” report involving a juvenile.
Officers investigated an accident scene from which a driver left without reporting it; the accident involved a juvenile.
Thursday, Dec. 21
Officers worked a third-degree battery incident involving a juvenile.
7:19 p.m.
Karen Sue Swaim, 50, of Malvern, was arrested at Walmart for theft of property following a store complaint of a shoplifter scanning a bar code attached to her wrist rather than the merchandise in her cart. Swaim was also charged with criminal trespass as she had been banned from Walmart stores following a similar incident in Malvern.

11:15 a.m.
An officer was summoned to a nursing home for a report of a possible abuse of a patient.
1:30 p.m.
A Magnolia Drive mother reported her 45-year-old son was missing. Nicolas “Nick” MeGee left home on Dec. 22 and his family has been unable to reach him.

Saturday, Dec. 23
8:10 p.m.
William Paul Gatlin, 43, was arrested at Unity and Canterbury for DWI following a deputy’s traffic stop on an occupied vehicle that had left the roadway near the intersection.
