Felony Friday: May 31, 2024

This is a roundup of felony charges filed between May 27-31, 2024, by the Clark County Prosecutor’s Office. The following names and charges, which are contained within public documents, are gathered from online court records available through ARCourts. Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Here’s a rundown of felony cases filed this week:

State vs. James Michael Huff II, Possession of Schedule I, II Controlled Substance Excluding Meth Cocaine (between 2-28 grams). A probationer from Bryant, 28-year-old Huff was arrested May 2, 2024, during a Caddo Valley traffic stop in which police found a syringe loaded with cocaine, 11 grams of psilocybin and one oxycodone pill. Huff and another suspect not named in an affidavit were taken into custody. Huff faces an additional charge of misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

State vs. Julie Denise Reynolds, Possession of a Schedule I, II Controlled Substance Meth Cocaine (less than 2 grams); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia to Ingest, Inhale, Etc. Reynolds, 45, of Malvern, was arrested May 22, 2024, in a traffic stop after Clark County sheriff’s deputies found paraphernalia containing meth in her belongings. Reynolds was the passenger of the vehicle. She also faces a misdemeanor charge of marijuana possession.

State vs. Demonte Lamon Scott, Theft of Property (credit/debit card); Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card or Debit Card (between $1,000-$5,000). Scott, 23, of Arkadelphia, was arrested after police investigated a citizen complaint of an April 24 wallet theft from Walmart. Scott, a Walmart employee at the time of the investigation, allegedly made unauthorized charges to Temu using the victim’s CashApp and bank account.
