Bowlers may be less than three years away from the opening of new lanes in the City of Magnolia.

The Magnolia City Council on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 approved by a 6-0 vote a resolution to execute a real estate grant and development agreement with Gilbert Family Ventures LLC.

The resolution notes that Gilbert Family Ventures – Hot Springs residents Tabbetha and Billy Gilbert – wants to construct a multi-lane bowling alley with associated amenities on 4.57 acres of land on East Main Street. The site, formerly Fountain Plaza shopping center, was purchased by the city.
