Area postal workers will be participating in the Stamp Out Hunger food drive on Saturday, May 11, 2024.

Residents are encouraged to bag healthy, non-perishable food items and place them near their mailbox. Your letter carrier will do the rest.

The 2024 food drive marks the 32nd anniversary for the National Association of Letter Carriers to collect food donations from their customers. The donations go directly to local food pantries to provide food to people in their communities.

Last year, the Arkadelphia Post Office collected at least 3,500 pounds of food.

Food banks and pantries often receive the majority of their donations during the holiday season, so by spring those pantries are typically depleted and enter the summer low on supplies.
