
The City of Arkadelphia issued 8 building permits with an estimated construction value of $734,725 for the month of April 2024. The year-to-date value of construction jobs in Arkadelphia now totals $6.23 million.
Records were obtained from the city’s Building Department under the Freedom of Information Act and include valuations of work except where omitted from reports. Here’s a rundown of permits issued in April 2024:
The Newport-based C&S Contracting LLC is set to build a 5,922-SF, four-bay airplane hangar at Dexter Florence Memorial Field, specifically at 821 Nowlin Dr., for the City of Arkadelphia. The estimated construction value was listed as $681,275. The engineer for the job is Grimes Consulting Engineers Inc. of Little Rock. The city’s Board of Directors gave its approval in August 2023 to seek grant funding for the hangars.
Austin Wingfield Revocable Trust contracted Arkansas Sign & Neon of Little Rock to remove an existing pole sign and install a new one at Verizon, 102 W.P. Malone Dr. That particular job was set to cost $8,000.
A sign went up at Baptist Health’s Health at Home (home health, supportive care, hospice) at 205 N. 26th St. Cuerden Sign of Conway was hired to fabricate and install a 48×120-inch wall sign and new face on an existing pole sign. The commercial space is owned by Wright & Seale Properties.

2507 Yorkshire Dr., owned by Stewart Properties, Stewart Construction, remodel interior of house and enclose 4’x24’ room in garage, no valuation listed
