EMMET, Arkansas — In a special called meeting of the Emmet City Council Monday night, the panel voted to allow Hannah Hines Holding to “assume management of the Emmet school facility”.

This was the only item on the agenda. Emmet Mayor Dale Booker told the council Hines had asked for permission to rebuild the facility to be used as a school. Hines said it needs to be rebuilt and cleaned up, but she needs to prove herself before asking the city to negotiate ownership of the property.
Councilman Grant Cox asked if the city would still own the facility while it was being rebuilt.
