Lumell Catlett, 86, of Donaldson, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Encore Health and Rehab in Malvern, Arkansas. 

She was born September 30, 1937, in Clara, Mississippi, to Albert Lee Cooley and Prudie Mae Riley Cooley. 

She was married to her late husband, W.F. “Tator” Catlett, for forty-eight years.

Lumell worked for Featherlight Screen Door Factory.   She loved Razorback basketball, crocheting, puzzlebooks, daytime soap operas and knowing where her “little chicks” (her children) were.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, W.F. “Tator” Catlett; her sons: Walter Lee Catlett, Glen Edward Catlett and David Bruce Catlett; her brothers: L. J. Cooley, T.L. Cooley and Benny Cooley and her sister, Ruby Nell Jernigan.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: James M. (Melissa J.) Catlett of Midway, Arkansas, Debra Crow, and her special friend, Harold of Malvern and Ricky (Carol) Catlett of Friendship, Arkansas; her sister, Virginia Smith of Summerfield, Florida and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. 

A visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2024, from 12:00 pm.-1:00 p.m. at Ruggles Wilcox Chapel in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m.   Brother Fred Etheridge will officiate the service.

Interment will follow at Ouachita Cemetery in Donaldson. 

Pallbearers will be Brett Crow, Jacob Catlett, Caleb Catlett, David Catlett, Randall Tarkington and Mike Walker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Crow, Paul Quattlebaum, Ronnie Smith, Ken Whitley and Gary Boyett.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Encore Health and Rehab, Encompass Health and Rehab, Lindsey Dunn with BL Physician House Calls and Dr. Dylan Thaxton and his staff.
